Marie-Louise Zervides is a Danish-British freelance soprano as well as a writer and promoter of classical music.
As a soprano, Marie-Louise Zervides is specialised in Renaissance and Baroque performance, both as a soloist and an ensemble singer. She is currently taking further education at Universität der Künste Berlin in Early Music and Baroque Singing with the renowned German soprano, Doerthe Maria Sandmann. Find concert calendar here.
In May 2025, she made her German debut as a soloist in Händel's Chandos Anthem No. 7, "My Song shall be alway" in Berlin's iconic Kaiser-Wilhelm-Gedächtnis-Kirche. The Berliner Morgenpost wrote: "... als krönender Abschluss die Chandos Anthem, in der besonders Zervides mit ihrer ansprechenden Bühnenpräsenz brillierte." (…the crowning finale was the Chandos Anthem, in which Zervides particularly shone with her captivating stage presence..)
In addition to her singing career, Marie-Louise Zervides also works in the promotion team of Edition Wilhelm Hansen, Scandinavias largest music publisher, drawing on over 10 years experience in classical music industry. As a freelance writer and presenter, she has worked for cultural institutions such as Tivoli, Glyptoteket, Copenhagen Opera Festival, Chester, Edition S, DR and Copenhagen Phil. She has also worked as a regular music critic for the Danish music magazines Seismograf and Magasinet Klassisk as well as a freelance music history lecturer.
